From Snow to Sun, All in One Day

We were blessed to visit our South Carolina family last week. It was great seeing everybody. My children could not have been happier. I want to thank my Grandma Mom-me and my sister Harriet, and Paw Paw for cooking for us. Every meal was Mmmmm, Mmmmmm good. Thanks Aunt TreTre, Mimi, and Uncle Harold too.

Dodging snowballs! I thought I was watching the Matrix!
We left snowy, cold SC on Tuesday to come home to 80 degree weather in the Valley of the Sun. What a day!

All My Children . . .

Our family took a day trip to sunny San Diego a couple weeks ago. The children and I were able to meet many of Daddy's old friends and relatives. We saw his first mosque and old home. The highlight of the whole trip was that we all got to meet my husband's eldest son, Shahid. The Master and Princess were overjoyed to meet their big brother. I joked that Tariq, Shahid, and Amir looked like triplets at different stages in life. LOL. It was a wonderful day, and I pray that we can make it happen again very soon.

Pictures from Mosque Maryam

On October 19th, my family was blessed to attend the rededication of our flagship mosque, Mosque Maryam, in Chicago, IL. Major renovations and upgrades were done and when I tell you it is beautiful, just . . .wow! It is a jewel! It felt so peaceful and wecoming to be there, like I'd been on a long trip and was returning home. Min Farrakhan's message extended love and peace to our entire human family Black, White, Muslim, Chirstian, Asian, Latino, Jew . . . Everyone. I loved it! So sorry so late, but enjoy!
