Volcano!

Saturday, the twins and I made and erupted a model volcano. It was so much fun. We used dirt from the park. Dewayne found us a long neck beverage bottle (a beer bottle from on side of the road!), and we saved a aluminum pie pan. Amir and Yasina had a ball packing on the dirt. They go for anything messy. The recipe I had called for red flood coloring, but my husband, trying to be cheap, I mean frugal, suggested we use paprika. Amir went crazy when the "lava" came bubbling out. They loved it.

We're going to make another one. This time out of paper mache and with real red food coloring. I'll keep you posted.
