Reading Rock Stars

Reading is going so well. I'm so proud of the Master and Princess. We've been using Starfall.com alot. The site offers stories that highlight short and long vowels sound and blends. It also has phonemic awareness (hearing the individual sounds in words) exercises. My goal is to have them reading on a second grade level by the end of the summer. Yes, we'll be homeschooling through the summer. I like the year round schedule anyway, but it's just plain too hot to go anyway during the summer months here. So why not continue our regular schedule? We'll probably take a long break when it cools down. It makes sense to me, what do you think?
