Countdown Day 16 ~ Bandanna Quilts

I have a deep affinity for quilts. I just love them. Maybe because when I was a child, we had a big, thick handmade quilt that I just lived under winter and summer. It wasn't pretty, made of fabric straps, but it was warm, comforting. I felt safe and secure with my quilt. I used it until it fell apart. One day I'm going to replace it with my own hands, but until then I've found quick, cute version. A bandanna quilt is pretty self explanatory - just a three layer quilt but with much bigger squares. We started with 6 bandannas. I think I'm going to add 6 more and probably bind it together. We did this one in honor of the girls, since The Fire King got his cloak the other day.

Half of the top layer is done. (I told Sana, "Pick yo afro, Baby, 'Cause it's flat on one side!)
