For the past 6 weeks, the children and I have been studying the story of the Prophet Moses (Musa) in both the Bible and the Holy Quran. I have been so impressed by the children's abilty to narrate and understand this story and apply to our everyday life. I plan to cover all the Prophets of God, and we are using a play/skit format to bring the story to life. In our Moses play, we had so much fun. Amir portrayed Moses and Daddy was Pharoah. Amir would go to Dewayne and scream, "Pharoah, let the childrens go!" And Dewayne would yell back, "No." It was so funny! I have to get it all on tape somehow, so ya'll can see it.
Funny story: We have also been learning about Ancient Egypt, and we watch a Discovery channel show on Queen Nefertiti. So Amir asked me, "Mama, did Moses know Queen Nefertiti?"
