The Crafty Beaver Returns

I just love reading all these blogs where moms are knitting/crocheting, sewing, and crafting so many beautiful things for themselves, their homes, and children. So I decided I wanted to do it too! Over the past few weeks, I've knocked the dust off the sewing machine, learned to crochet with a group of lovely ladies on Monday mornings, started scrapbooking again, and tried my hand at knitting. I must say, I LOVE it all. I've devoted so much of my time and energy to planning and researching homeschooling, I have really neglected myself and my own interest. I have always enjoyed crafting, but really didn't make time for it in lieu of other STUFF. LOL Now I've got my mojo back, so watch out there now! My first crochet blanket . . .This one will be Sina's when it's done.

I'll keep you all updated!

  1. Your pencil tops and letter pillows look great. And your crocheting looks beautiful. That's a skill I need to work on.

  3. Great job. I have several blankets I have started and never finish. I always think I can make a baby blanket in the 9 mos. someone is pregnant but never make it. (Shameful!) I've only mastered the cotton dish cloths, which I LOVE by the way. My mom made us crocheted dresses one time, she was all over it for a while.

  4. LOL. I just found a pattern for a crochet dress that I really want to make for my girls. It is so cute. I've thought about dish/wash clothes too. Glad to hear you love them.
